Gadgets Used By Russian Spy Anna Chapman Exposed In NYC

Now all those, who are interested in how exactly “sexy Anna” has managed to become one of the most dangerous Russian spies on American territory, can take a look at her high-tech gadgets in terms of an exposition in NYC.

Read the full story provided by NY Post HERE:
Hot-bodied Russian spy babe Anna Chapman was outfitted with a $2,300 Chanel bag featuring a hidden, high-powered Wi-Fi device so she could secretly communicate with her Moscow-led overseers.

The bag, still in FBI custody, is expected to join a bevy of other Chapman goodies going on display as part of an exhibition about spies and their gizmos that opens today at Discovery Times Square.

“If she had been here another six months, Anna Chapman could have become the most dangerous spy in American history,” said spy-book author and former CIA operative H. Keith Melton, who is curating the exhibition.

“She could access anyone,” he said.

Melton believes Chapman was well on her way to severely compromising US business interests until she foolishly handed off her Toshiba laptop — chock full of sensitive information — to an FBI informant posing as a Russian agent.

The laptop exchange came during a meeting at the Starbucks at 10 Hanover Square in the Financial District the day before she was taken into custody in June 2010, when she complained that the computer didn’t work properly, and the “Russian” agent — who told her that his name was “Roman” — offered to have it fixed for her at the Russian Consulate.

Melton owns or gained access to most of the hundreds of pieces of spy paraphernalia on display in the exhibit — including one titled “Anna Chapman’s Laptop.”

He described the sexy Russian as so friendly, personable and beautiful that her mission of gaining access to wealthy or influential American businessmen was a snap.

After gaining their trust, the modern-day Mata Hari would hand off information about the men to her handlers, who would then decide if their businesses were worth targeting for espionage to help boost Russia’s efforts to become a global economic powerhouse.

When she met with the fake Russian “Roman,” Chapman had never even met face-to-face with any of her real Russian handlers.

Not too shabby.. Manhattan Penthouse sells for record $90-100 mil

Not too shabby.. As found on NY Post:

“Maybe the bathrooms will be tiled with gold.

A Manhattan penthouse duplex that hasn’t even been built yet has sold for between $90 and $100 million, sources told The Post yesterday.

The buyer, whose identity has not been revealed, snapped up the 10,923-square-foot penthouse on the 89th and 90th floors of One57, a building under construction at 157 West 57th Street, directly across from Carnegie Hall.

The project’s developer, Gary Barnett, president of Extell Development Company, has boasted that the building is half sold — but it is impossible to independently verify that until any of the deals close.

The sky-high price is the result of uncertainty overseas, which has been driving foreign investors to buy real estate in New York, experts said.

The nationality and exact amount the buyer agreed to

pay are also unknown, but the price tops the $88 million paid by Russian billionaire, Dmitry Rybolovlev, who reportedly bought a penthouse for his daughter last winter at 15 Central Park West that was owned by the former Citigroup chairman Sanford I. Weill.

While views from the new building will be stunning, the project is certain to block views of other nearby luxury buildings, which is expected to force their prices to fall.

Also, some potential buyers have walked away from deals at One57 citing, “design flaws,” real estate sources said.

Among the complaints so far are that its builders went against the advice of its architect and neglected to provide enough elevators — particularly problematic for people buying on high floors, who would have to wait a long time for their rides up or down.

The deal also means that New York trophy real estate is beginning to compete with London for the international world’s big bucks.

In London, for example, Ukrainian billionaire Rinat Akhmetov paid $230 million to live in a luxury building named One Hyde Park.”
